Irish Graduates

New graduates qualified within the Republic of Ireland

Information for new graduates in Dentistry, Dental Hygiene, Dental Nursing, Orthodontic Therapy and Clinical Dental Technology.

The Dental Council recommends that you allow for the registration process to take three months. We aim to finalise applications as quickly as possible but delays can occur due to incomplete applications or if additional information is required. The Dental Council would advise that you do not book patients in before you are registered.

If you are graduating from an Irish institution you may be able to apply for registration through our registration stands, set up in your training institution after graduation, to avail of a quicker registration process. This avenue to registration will mean that your application will be processed within two weeks. For more information on our registration stands, please contact the registration department.

We will only deal with the applicant regarding applications and requests
