Elections

The term of office of the current elected members of Dental Council expires on 12 November this year.  There are nineteen people on the Council and seven of these are elected directly by the profession to serve a five-year term.

1 September 2025 – Notice of Elections
24 September 2025 – Close of nominations (between 10am and 1pm)
3 October 2025 – Latest date for issue of ballot papers
22 October 2025 – Poll Closes at 1pm
23 October 2025 – Count commences at 9.30am

Nominations to Stand for Election

Dentists

Thirteen dentists were nominated to stand in the elections and these are:

Auxiliary Dental Workers

The following people were deemed elected without a ballot to the Auxiliary Dental Workers Committee as they were the only nominees:

  • Ms Wenda Thomas (dental hygienist)
  • Mr Philip McGrath (clinical dental technician)
