Resigning from the Register
If you are no longer practising your profession in the State and you no longer require registration with the Dental Council, you can resign from the Register.
Resignations must be made in writing by post or by email and you must receive a confirmation that your resignation has been processed.
Procedure for Resignation
Submission of a formal request to resign from the register must be made in writing by post or email.

In your request to resign from the Register you must provide:
- Your full name
- Your registration number/s
- The register/s you want to resign from
- Clear confirmation that you want to resign
Important Information
Once your resignation has been processed you will receive confirmation from the Registration Department. If your resignation was sent by post then your confirmation will be sent to you by post. If your resignation was sent by email then your confirmation will be sent to you by by email.

If you resign from the Register after late fees were imposed on your account, you will be charged for these fee’s upon restoration.
